These courses have been recommended by industry to provide essential preparation to sell, operate, supervise and manage within a travel agency or as an independent contractor of travel. Courses have been organized to provide understanding of techniques and knowledge necessary in developing effective leadership and decision-making skills and successful communication among all departments contributing to positive guest, sales, and travel experiences.
To earn a certificate and/or degree, complete the required coursework as listed with a “C” or better. At least 50% of all Airline, Hotel, Meeting/Event, and Travel & Tourism coursework must be completed at Orange Coast College.
Program Outcome
The outcome of the Associate in Science Degree in Travel and Tourism is to prepare students for employment as a supervisor or manager within the travel and tourism industry.
