Emphasis is placed on the development of skills in personal financial planning: decision making, use of credit and principles of saving and investment. Attention is given to the problems in housing, transportation, health services, and insurance. Issues of personal taxation, government regulation, and environmental protection are considered in relation to consumer interest.
