Dual and Concurrent Enrollment

Dual and Concurrent Enrollment allow high school students to build college readiness and confidence, explore career pathways, and start earning college credit early. OCC is especially committed to ensuring all students, regardless of background, have the support and resources they need to succeed.

Dual Enrollment at OCC encompasses two primary pathways:

  • Concurrent Enrollment: Open to all California high school students in grades 9–12, this option allows students to enroll in OCC courses on campus or online. While per-unit enrollment fees are waived, students are responsible for other college-related fees and materials.
  • College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) Dual Enrollment: Offered in partnership with local high school districts, CCAP courses are typically taught on high school campuses during the school day. These classes are tuition-free and often include free textbooks. Students earn both high school and college credit. Interested students should check with their high school counselor to see which CCAP courses are available.

Both Concurrent and CCAP Dual Enrollment require students to apply to OCC and submit the appropriate dual enrollment form(s) with signatures from a parent/guardian and their high school.
