This program is designed to prepare students for careers as automotive service technicians. The curriculum aligns with the ASE certification areas A4 Steering and Suspension and A5 Brakes. This prepares students who are entering the workforce for the first time as well as those in the workforce who want to improve skills to advance their careers. Upon completion of this program, students will have developed the skills required to diagnose and repair chassis systems.

Program Level Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Diagnose chassis related systems using industry accepted diagnostic tools and equipment.
2. Assess chassis components using precision measuring tools and compare findings to published manufacturer’s specifications.
3. Perform a chassis system repair procedure utilizing published Service Information (SI) procedures.
