Students obtaining an Associate's Degree need to complete the General Education Requirements by one of the following methods:

1. Local General Education
   Completion of a minimum of 24 units as listed under Areas 1 through 7E.
2. California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC)
   Completion of a minimum of 34 units of Cal-GETC requirements. Students who complete this pattern are also eligible to receive the Cal-GETC Certificate of Achievement.
