Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Upon enrolling in an institution of higher learning, students are granted specific rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regarding their educational records (such as grades, transcripts, and financial aid information) at that institution, and are treated as adults in the management of these records. In accordance with FERPA, it is the policy of the Coast Community College District to not release or discuss a student’s records with any third party, regardless of the student’s age, without a signed written release from the student authorizing the disclosure. Registration Calendar

Golden West College offers courses across four academic sessions: fall semester (end-August through December), winter term (January, if available), spring semester (February through May), and summer term (approximately June through mid-August). To accommodate diverse learning preferences and schedules, courses are delivered in on-campus, fully online, and hybrid formats. On-campus classes typically meet Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., with limited Saturday options.
